Early childhood literacy and math kits

Our lending library has several updated early childhood literacy kits with accessible materials that can be embedded into learning centers and activities to promote meaningful engagement. Activities align with concepts and skills identified in Virginia’s Early Learning and Development Standards Birth to Five Guidelines (ELDS). Teachers can use these activities to supplement lesson plans and resources they already have in their classroom, or as inspiration to create their own kits.

Lending options for new and updated kits include checking out the physical kit with sample activities, adapted books, theme related materials, assistive technology with a link to a digital folder with activity sheets and communication boards, or you can just request the link to the digital folder of interest.

A variety of smaller concept kits targeting math, literacy, science, and music/movement are also available for checkout.
